Road Trip Wednesday: February’s Best

Road Trip Wednesday is a ‘Blog Carnival,’ where the YA Highway contributors post a weekly writing- or reading-related question and answer it on their blogs. Thankfully, they let the readers play along. This Week’s Topic: What was the best book you read in February?

I did a lot of reading this month (yay!) but my hands-down favorite is Sarah Ockler’s BITTERSWEET. It wins both the Drool and Swoon categories. Romance set against a wintry backdrop, complete with betrayal, hot hockey boys, family drama and tasty baked goods redemption. What’s not to love?

Ockler does an amazing job of creating a protagonist replete with flaws, yet so likeable you can’t help but root for her to the very end. Fair warning: You will crave cupcakes before you’re finished reading.
